The Friends of the Crusaders are sponsoring their 4th Annual Night at the Races on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Holy Cross High School, 501 E. Drinker St,  Dunmore, PA. 

There will be a basket preview at 5:00 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m. with a gourmet buffet starting at 6:30 p.m..   Post time for the races is 7:30 p.m.  Admission is $10 and includes the buffet and refreshments throughout the evening.  (You must be 21 to attend.) 

Over the past few years the Night at the Races has grown into a popular and much anticipated seasonal event and has proven to be one of the school’s most successful fundraisers.  Come and join us for a fun-filled evening and bring some friends to share the fun. 
  
When you arrive you receive a program showing all the races and horses and you may place bets for $2 on any horse you like over the course of the evening one race at a time.  The odds are set and announced for each race and are based on the number of bets made in house.  If your horse wins you get the cash based on the odds.  And if you own the horse that wins you get an additional $50 prize.  Horses can be purchased for $10 and you get to choose the horses name so you know who you’re cheering for when the race starts. 

Tickets will be available for the Chinese auction which has numerous different baskets, certificates, and prizes.  Door prizes are also raffled off by drawing admission tickets during the night and 50-50 chances and instant bingo tickets are also available.

We also are in need of volunteers.   Numerous committees could use your help even if it’s just for an hour during the evening so someone can take a break.
